Christmas Morning

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. Grandma and Grandpa B came from AZ to spend Christmas with us and the boys really enjoyed that. We went out on Christmas Eve and drove around at looked at all of the lights. We even found a house that had all of it's lights set to music. You tuned your radio to a specific station and the music played in you car while you watched the lights. It was really cool. Then we went home and had hot chocolate and then it was time for the boys to go to bed so Santa could come. They were very excited this year and could hardly sleep. Dylan came to see us about 3 am and I told him to go back to bed until 6. He was back again about 5:45. They were ready to go right at 6 am. After presents we spent the day playing with all of our new gifts. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.

To cold to go to school?

This post is for our family and friends back in AZ. After having a snow day last week for what seemed like no apparent reason I thought for sure the kids would have at least a two hour delay this morning. It snowed all morning yesterday and then in the afternoon the sun came out just enough to melt the snow so it could freeze again overnight. When I went to bed at midnight I thought we would have a nice lazy morning and I could sleep in today. No such luck. Not only did we have to get up on time it was FREEZING outside. When the boys left for school it was -3 degrees. The news said it was -18 with the windchill although it didn't seem to windy to me. I bundeld the kids up before they left and they didn't seem to mind the cold. It has warmed up a little, as of now it is 2 degrees. As I am sure you have guessed my day will be spent cuddling with Ally on the couch!!! Lucky for me I have the Survivor finale on tivo! Anybody who hasn't seen it come on over!!

Ally's Photo Session

Lucky for me I have an awesome friend who happens to be really good at taking pictures. Not only that but she loves to take pictures of Ally. So instead of going out to get Ally's pictures taken we had a photo shoot at our house.Ally is three months old now. She is still a happy baby and has just discovered her tongue. She loves to stick it out and the boys think it is hilarious. She definitely has all of us wrapped around her little fingers! Thanks to Rachael for all of the great pictures!!!! I also have to say thanks to Rachael for the header on my blog. She happened to take all three of those pictures and put the header together for me!! What would I do without her?? The photo's below speak for themselves.

This last one was not taken by Rachael but I thought it was cute.

Catching Up

Well it's been a while since my last blog so here's what's been happening with us. Brandon took a day off of work a few weeks ago and the boy's had a day out with dad. They each got to pick one thing they wanted to do. Dylan choice was to go to build a bear workshop and Jaxon wanted to go hiking. It was a little chilly so we tried to talk him out of that but had no luck. The weather turned out to be O.K. and they had a great time. They left after breakfast and by 5 p.m. Ally and I were feeling kind of lonely and were looking forward to them coming home. We had spent the day at home keeping warm and reading a book. Well I was reading and Ally was sleeping!! Here are some pictures of the boys fun day.

After Garden of the Gods the guys drove about an hour away and went hiking in the woods. They came across this tepee and the boys thought it was really cool.

We haven't had much snow this year so the boy's have been waiting patiently to go sledding. We finally had a pretty good snow storm and Brandon took the boys to the school to sled down the hill. They have been asking for a snowboard but I think we will stick with the sleds for at least one more year. Once again Ally and I stayed nice and warm at home. She's still a little young to be out on the hills. Maybe next year!

Even though Ally wasn't able to go sledding I had to get a picture of her with the boys in the snow.
Although we haven't had much snow we have had some cold days. One day this week when the boys left for school it was only 10 degrees outside. The boys didn't seem to mind at all. Of course I decided the errands I had to run could wait another day!! I case you haven't noticed a theme, when it is REALLY cold outside or snowing I stay nice and warm inside. I guess that's what happens when you grow up in AZ!

Ally is 2 months old!

Okay this is an official warning that this whole post is about Ally. If you don't want to hear about how cute we think she is then stop reading now!

Ally turned 2 months this past Saturday and we just love her to death. The boys love to play with her and tell her how beautiful she is( I wonder where they get that from?). Of course every time she cries they tell me she is hungry. If I fed her every time they told me to she would explode! We went to her 2 month appointment and she got an A+. She weighs 12 pounds now and is 25 inches long. I have always thought she had a small head but she is in the 75 percentile. When I mentioned I thought her head was small to the doctor his response to me was: " Well she doesn't have the big forehead that you do" Nice huh. He has a point though so I will just be happy she got Brandon's head!!! Now for the pictures.

My camera was acting funny so ignore the lines.

How sweet!!

The boys with their sister

A friend of mine made Ally two bracelets and her wrist is finally big enough for her to wear the first one. Her first piece of jewelry. Mommy is so proud!!

This last picture is for all of my friends and family back in AZ. I just think these car seat covers are so cute. I couldn't wait to use it. We don't have these back in AZ.
Is it obvious how much we love our little girl?

Crazy Hair day and Halloween fun

Last week at school was red ribbon week. The boys favorite day is crazy hair day. Dylan was wearing an Elvis wig and I put orange and blue in Jaxon's hair. They also had P.J. day but unfortunately that morning was way to crazy for me to even think about getting the camera out so no pictures of that!

The boys both had Halloween party's at school so Brandon, Ally and I went to school to join in on the fun.

After all of the fun at school we went to the High School down the street for some more Halloween fun. They had carnival games set up inside and in one of the parking lots they had a trunk r treat. The boys even got to make smores.

Then it was FINALLY time for trick or treating. Brandon was a really nice dad and he took the boys out for 2 hours. That is by far the longest they have ever gone. They now have enough candy to last them until next year!!

It was definitely a long day but in the end the boys and a lot of fun.

Fun for the whole family

We went to ITZ (pizza and arcade games) for a night of family fun. Of course we couldn't let the kids have all of the fun. We had met some friends of ours there and us girls couldn't resist Dance Dance Revolution. This game had been out for a long time but it was new to us. We had so much fun. By the time we left we were sweating from all of the exercise.

After a little convincing we got the boys to try a game too. They put up a little fight but it looks like they were having fun to me.

Of course we went there for the kids to have fun so I guess I should post there pictures as well. Dylan and Jordan on a roller coaster

My house is a zoo

The boys are out of school for fall break and I managed to make it through week one without seriously injuring them! I just have to make it thru this week and then they are off to school again on Monday. We were really lucky last week because the weather was so nice. We were able to go the park a few times and they could run around the backyard instead of bouncing off the walls in the house. We were not so lucky today. It has been pretty cold the last couple of days and today was no different. The high is in the low 40's, which meant the boys had to find fun things to do inside. Lucky for me they have entertained themselves quite well today. They had a couple of friends over and broke out the plato table. They spent a couple of hours working on there big creation. For those that can't tell what it is (c'mon I thought it was obvious!) they built there very own zoo. Just for your clarification there is an alligator, turtle, bear, fish and a hippo just to name a few. They had a lot of fun and were quite disappointed when it was time to clean up and they realized they could not keep the zoo in the middle of the kitchen floor.

Fun times!

There were three separte area's of the zoo

Time to clean up!!
