Hockey Time!

Of course Jax didn't want Dylan to be the only one to try a new sport so he found a new one to try himself.... in line roller hockey. I was actually really surprised when he said he wanted to try this. He had got a flyer from school about it and to be honest I think he was more excited about getting new skates than actually playing hockey. The deal was if it is your first season you get a pair of skates for free when you sign up. These weren't just any skates, they were the "fast" ones! As it turns out Jax is pretty good at hockey. He usually scores 2-4 goals a game. Jax and one other boy on his team usually score most of the goals. He has one practice a week and two games a week. I love this sport for two simple reasons, it's inside (huge positive when it is snowing outside) and they games are only 30 minutes long. It's been a good season and Jax has really enjoyed himself. Of course he can't stop talking about next year when he will be able to play tackle football and hockey will just be thing of the past. These boys of mine what am I going to do with them!!

Everyone gets to play goalie at least once... this is serious business!!

Are you ready for some football??

As most of you know Dylan loves football. He has wanted to play tackle football for quite a while and this year he was finally old enough. I was a little scared but Dylan is a big boy for his age so I figured we would try it out and see what happened. His coach was a little high strung for me and quite aggressive but over all Dylan had a good time. He had practice 3 times a week for 1 1/2 hours and then games on Saturday. They had a rough start but finally won their first game today. He will miss the last game next week b/c we will be out of town so I was really happy they won today. He plays right tackle on offense and nose tackle on defense. He was also the punter. He thinks he is going to play in the NFL someday so here is the future star!!!

Dylan got to be one of the captains
Waiting to get into the game.

Go Dylan.... Go hit somebody!!!!

Picture Day!!!

So I am lucky enough to have a friend who is an awesome photographer and I wanted to get some pics of Ally as a big one year old. I was thinking just a couple of quick photo's of her at the house. Of course that's not what the photographer had in mind. She wanted to go to the park and use all of her props. So who am I to argue right! Anyway Ally did not want anything to do with having her picture taken, she just kept trying to get to the playground. Some how we still got some really good pictures of her thanks to the photographer. I think she looks beautiful but I am also kind of bias!! Her are the results

Ally is 1!!!

It's hard to believe but our little baby is one year old. She is a very happy girl who loves to be around people. She has learned how to say Hi when someone walks into the room. She thinks everyone is her friend and loves to wave to people when we are out running errands. Some ofthe things she can now do ar

Can say J(for Jax) da da and ma ma( only when she is crying though!)
Waves hi and bye
give kisses
carries a phone around with her and talks into it (of course when it's a real phone and a real person so wont say anything)
she is walking every where now
she will go lay down when you tell her it's time to change her diaper
she loves taking baths

We had a party for her with just a couple of our friends. Of course she didn't know what was going on but she really liked the toys she got. Here are some pictures of her taken recently.

Catching up

Well it as been a long time since I have blogged. I don't know what is wrong with me but the hours in the day go by so fast that before I know it it's 10 p.m. and it doesn't seem like I accomplished anything. So here's what's been happening with us.

The boys are enjoying school for the most part. Dylan is in 3rd grade and Jax is in 2nd. The first few weeks were a little rough for Dylan. His teacher is pretty strict this year and he was getting in trouble and having to move his magnet. (You move to yellow, then red, then blue). He had to move to yellow quite a few times which is very unusual for him. I think last year he might have moved once during the whole year and the first month of school this year he has already moved it at least 6-7 times. Most of the time it was for silly stuff like having a pencil on his desk(it was supposed to be cleaned off) and for looking in his desk while the teacher was talking. I think he has finally realized his teacher means business and for the last couple of weeks he has had no problems. Jax is doing well also. Unlike Dylan he moved his magnet many times last year always for the same thing.... talking. He is definitely our social butterfly. This year he has either zipped his lip or his teacher is much more lenient. I think it is the later. Whichever it is I am just happy he is staying on green!! The boys have both decided to take a break from soccer and are trying new sports this season. Dylan is playing tackle football and Jax is playing in line hockey. We are supper busy with practices and games. Sunday is our only day of the week we don't have something going on. I will post more about there sports later.

Ally is doing good. She is growing up so fast. She had her birthday a couple of weeks ago. She loves her dad and her brothers. She is so excited when they walk in the door after school and work. She has 8 teeth now and his walking everywhere. She loves to be outside playing. She is not going to like it when it starts snowing and she is stuck inside. She keeps me busy chasing her around the house and up and down the stairs.

We went to the balloon festival over Labor day weekend and it was a lot of fun. Last year I actually went into labor with Ally after getting back from the festival so it was fun to go this year with Ally as part of our family. It is definitely something we will continue to do as long as we live here.

Hope that wasn't to boring. Hopefully I will be better at keeping the blog updated from now on.

Jaxon turns 7!!!!!!!!!!!!

After Dylan's baptism on Saturday it was off to Peter Piper Pizza to celebrate Jaxon's B-day. The kids had a good time eating pizza and playing games. Of course Jaxon's favorite part was opening the presents.

Trying to earn tickets from ski ball.

Who's kid is this?

Waiting patiently for presents.
A new bionicle.

A huge Nerf gun.

A new skateboard.

Someone was getting tired of watching Jax open presents.

After all of that fun the boys got a joint present from Grandma and Grandpa B. A new quad!! They were so excited when they saw it. They spent a lot of time out in the pasture riding it. Even the 110 degree temp couldn't keep them off of it. This gift stayed in AZ so the boys can't wait to go back!!

Jax figuring out how to turn.
How do you make this thing go???
This looks like trouble. Watch out here he comes!!!

Dylan's Baptism

Saturday was a busy day for our family. One of the main reasons we went to AZ was for Dylan to get baptized. It was really nice to have our whole family there for the occasion. Dylan was really excited and happy. This was a rare occasion that everyone in my family was in one place at the same time as my brother is in the Navy and is stationed in Japan.
Proud Dad.

Proud mom.

Jealous brother.

Because we had my whole family together we took a rare family photo. We even had my grandpa there from Tucson who is in is mid 90's. Trying to get this many people to smile at the same time is not fun!

Me with my brother's and sister's.
Next was a picture on Brandon's side. Let's just say it was a little easier!
Thanks to everyone for sharing this special day with us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
